Better understanding of ADL activities with lifestyle monitoring

It is a challenge for many physiotherapists: getting a good picture of the client's daily (ADL) activities. A physio usually sees a client once and sometimes twice a week so the recovery process largely takes place at home.

To still gain insight into patient's life, they are asked about activities. Using PROMs, it is possible to gain further insight into this. The dependence on the client's memory and subjective experience is high.

Remote patient lifestyle monitoring is the ideal solution to objectively understand patients' activities during the week outside the practice.

Think walking, but especially ADL activities that are otherwise easily overlooked. Some ADL activities identified by remote patient lifestyle monitoring as too strenuous:

  • walking stairs
  • morning ritual (get up, shower, get dressed)
  • car parking
  • walking

Physios using Healthy Chronos use those insights as input in their client discussions. Physio and client thus get a better understanding of activities that are too taxing to recover. This allows them to discuss with the client whether activities can be organised differently. As a physio, this allows you to include the client's personal context in the treatment process. This gives your client more tools to take control in daily life.
